Teach For India engages talented young leaders to work in the country's education sector and help all children in India receive a high-quality education. Modeled after Teach for America in the United States, Teach For India was established in 2008 to enable promising college graduates and young professionals to help transform India's education sector.For two years, Teach For India Fellows work as full-time teachers in low-income private and government schools. Teach For India aims to inspire them to become lifelong leaders working towards educational equity through careers ranging from politics, policy, and advocacy to education, business, and media.
