Tanmay Amar

Tanmay provides legal support to Omidyar Network's investment teams in India and globally, while focusing on investments in India and Southeast Asia primarily. Tanmay oversees investment and exit transactions from a legal and regulatory perspective, provides counsel to portfolio companies from time to time on their legal and regulatory issues, and advises on domestic issues pertaining to Omidyar Network India.

Prior to joining Omidyar Network, Tanmay was legal counsel at Sequoia Capital India, where he provided counsel on investments, externalizations and exits, and portfolio compliance management. He also served as a virtual counsel for various portfolio companies on key issues.

Tanmay previously worked for Luthra & Luthra Law Offices and advised clients on private equity & strategic acquisitions, both from a buy side and sell side, and also advised clients on general corporate and regulatory matters.

Tanmay graduated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
