Sweta Birdika

Sweta is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and managing investments, and is the Chief of Staff to Shilpa Kumar

Prior to joining Omidyar Network India, Sweta worked as an Investment Banking Associate with Bank of America, where she executed fund-raising and M&A advisory transactions across sectors including tech, aviation, automotive, financial services, and real estate, among others.

Sweta pursued her MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where she was a part of the Director’s Merit List. She interned at India RF (Bain Capital Credit & Piramal Group’s PE fund) during her MBA. Prior to her MBA, she worked with Wipro Limited in business and corporate finance.

She is a Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor in Commerce from the University of Calcutta.
