Bengaluru-based non-profit GiveIndia received a combined grant of ₹23.4 crore from A.T.E. Chandra Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Omidyar Network India and philanthropist Vikrant Bhargava.
GiveIndia facilitates donations through its online donations platform and workplace partnerships. According to a statement, GiveIndia will use these new funds to develop its platform, strengthen its team and scale up its donor base from 1.7 lakh now. GiveIndia is also looking to partner with online consumer companies and brands, the statement added.
